CHOOSE YOUR BACKLIGHT COLOR

Every kit includes the same pair of rear-facing white main lights. Choose the backlight color based on how you want to use the additional wiring function.

• Amber Backlight: Can be wired as a turn-signal function.
• Red Backlight: Can be wired as a turn-signal or brake-light function.

The white main lights are the high-output off-road lights. The amber or red backlight is a separate, low-output feature and does not replace the white flood beam.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The factory reverse lights on the Land Cruiser are enough for a parking lot, but they do not do much when you are backing down a dark trail, lining up a trailer, setting up camp after sunset, or trying to see what is behind the truck during a recovery. This M&R Automotive kit adds two wide flood-pattern LED pods to put useful light behind your Land Cruiser where the factory lamps fall short.

The flood pattern is intentional. These are not long-distance spotlights aimed at the horizon. They are designed to fill in the ground and area behind the truck, making it easier to see rocks, ruts, drop-offs, trailer couplers, camp gear, and anything else the factory reverse lamps leave in the dark.

The brackets are built for the 250-Series Land Cruiser, so the kit bolts on without drilling. Choose amber or red backlights depending on whether you want the additional function wired as a turn signal, or in the red option's case, as a turn signal or brake light.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY

This kit does not automatically activate when you put the Land Cruiser in reverse. M&R designs the white main lights to be controlled through factory AUX wiring, a compatible aftermarket switch system, or its optional wireless harness. That lets you decide when the lights run rather than having them come on every time the transmission is in reverse.

Each pod has approximately 18 inches of wire. You will need separate 14-gauge, two-conductor wire to extend the wiring from the rear of the Land Cruiser to your power source. That extension wire and a primary wiring harness are not included with the kit.

OFF-ROAD USE NOTICE

The white main lights are for off-road use only. They are significantly brighter than factory reverse lamps and are not street legal for use as rear-facing auxiliary lighting on public roads.
