Fitment Note

Fits 2025-2026 6th Gen Toyota 4Runner, gas or i-FORCE MAX hybrid, all trims. No tuning needed on most trims, but Trailhunter and TRD Pro models do require tuning after install. Does not seal watertight against the factory snorkel, if your 4Runner has one, confirm compatibility before ordering. Not yet CARB compliant, testing is planned but not complete as of this listing, so California customers should confirm current status before installing on a smog-tested vehicle.

The 6th gen 4Runner finally ditched the old V6 for a turbo four, and Toyota left some real airflow on the table with the factory intake. This pulls from the same fender-area opening the stock box uses, but routes it through a bigger airbox and a smoother tube built specifically for this engine's MAF sensor, no adapting a part meant for something else. That's where the 14 HP and torque gains come from, confirmed on the dyno, not just claimed.

Most installs take under an hour with basic hand tools. One thing worth knowing from an owner who's actually done it: budget a little extra time your first time through, especially getting the MAF harness clips off cleanly and routing everything (including winch wiring if you've got one) so it doesn't rub or bind once it's back together. Rushing the fitment is where people run into trouble, take your time and it goes in clean.

You'll also notice a real change in how the truck sounds, more turbo whistle and blow-off flutter under boost, though nowhere near as loud as the Trailhunter's factory snorkel. It's there when you want to hear it and fades into the background at cruise or with the windows down.

Real owners who've done this swap say the same thing: don't rush the MAF harness clips or your wiring routing on the first go. Take an extra ten minutes there and the install goes in clean. Skip that step and you'll be fighting rattles or a loose fit later.

This bracket only solves the clearance conflict between those two components, it does not include a recovery point on its own.

Toyota put the bed step right where a proper rear recovery point wants to go, so 4th Gen Tacoma owners have had to pick one or the other, until now. This bracket repositions the OEM bed step just enough to clear the recovery point without giving up ground clearance or losing use of the step itself.

Install uses your existing factory mounting points, no drilling or cutting, and most owners are done in well under 30 minutes. One thing worth knowing from real buyer feedback: some owners found their factory bolts weren't quite long enough once everything was stacked together and needed to grab longer replacements locally, so it's worth having a couple of longer bolts on hand just in case before you start.

This is a small, simple fix, but it solves a real headache for anyone who wants both the bed step they use daily and a recovery point they can actually trust if things go sideways on the trail.

This is the SXTH Element CPLT Intake, and it's not just an airbox swap. CPLT stands for complete, and that's the whole point. Where most intakes on the market stop at the airbox and leave you stuck with the factory turbo inlet tubes, this system replaces the entire path from the front duct down to both turbo inlets. Toyota built the 3rd gen Tundra and Sequoia around twin IHI VB45 turbos, and the factory piping between the airbox and those turbos is a real bottleneck. SXTH addresses that whole path in one kit instead of making you buy separate inlet pipes later.

Install reuses your factory hardware, nothing extra needed there, though the MAF sensors do need to come off the stock tubes and get moved over, and the driver's and passenger's side bolts are different sizes (10mm and 8mm). Budget a few hours if you're doing it in the driveway, it's not a bolt-in five minute job but it's within reach for most DIYers. One thing worth knowing going in: because this intake flows so much better than stock, some owners hear a new thumping sound from the factory blow off valves under hard throttle lift-off at high boost. That's completely normal, it's just the OEM BOVs being more audible now that the intake isn't muffling everything. If it bothers you, SXTH sells a separate spacer kit that fixes it, it's not included with the intake itself.

Also worth flagging honestly: Toyota issued TSB T-SB-0030-23 covering a pre-existing factory fuel injector issue on some 2022+ Tundra and Tundra HV trucks (linked to DTCs P017400, P117B00, P043000) that can show up as a loss of power or a check engine light. This isn't caused by the intake, but the extra airflow can occasionally expose an injector that was already borderline. If you haven't had this TSB performed at your dealer, it's worth doing before or shortly after this install.

CARB compliance testing is planned for 2026 but not yet completed as of this listing, so California customers should hold off or confirm current CARB status before installing on a smog-tested vehicle.
