WHEN A WASH IS NOT ENOUGH

You can wash your Toyota truck or Lexus SUV and still have paint that feels rough, especially on the hood, roof, tailgate, lower doors, and behind the wheels. That roughness is usually bonded contamination that regular wash soap cannot remove.

The Blackline Synthetic Clay Towel is made for that step between washing and protecting the paint. Used with proper lubrication, its synthetic clay surface lifts embedded contamination from paint, glass, and metal, leaving the surface smooth and ready for wax, sealant, ceramic protectant, or paint correction.

WHY A CLAY TOWEL INSTEAD OF A CLAY BAR?

Traditional clay bars work, but they are small, easy to drop, and are usually done once they hit the ground. This towel covers more surface area at a time and can be rinsed clean during use. That makes it a more practical option for larger vehicles such as a Tundra, Tacoma, Sequoia, Land Cruiser, GX, or 4Runner.

The microfiber backing helps the towel lay flat across a panel, which makes it easier to maintain even, light pressure while you work.

HOW TO USE IT

1. Thoroughly wash and rinse the vehicle first. Do not clay over loose dirt, sand, or trail dust. If you chose the Full Experience package, use the included Blackline Ultra Foam and wash mitt for this step.
2. Work one small section at a time with plenty of clay lubricant. The Complete System and Full Experience packages include Blackline Waterless Wash for this step.
3. Glide the towel back and forth using light pressure. Do not scrub or force it across the surface.
4. Wipe the area dry with a clean microfiber towel, then feel the surface. Repeat only where it still feels rough.
5. Rinse the clay towel frequently to release the contamination it collects.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU CLAY

This is a surface-preparation product, not a substitute for washing. It should always be used on a clean, lubricated surface. Using it dry, using too little lubricant, or pressing hard can create unnecessary friction and surface marring.

If you are planning to polish, wax, seal, or ceramic-coat your truck or SUV, clay first. Removing contamination gives the protection product a cleaner surface to bond to and prevents you from sealing roughness into the finish.
